Do I have to take out maintenance if you built my website or app?
It's not mandatory. When the project is delivered, you decide whether you want ongoing support or not. That said, a website or app with no maintenance accumulates security and compliance risk (or the risk of store rejection, for apps) over time, regardless of who built it.
Can you maintain a website or app you didn't build?
Yes, provided it starts with a prior technical review to understand the real state of the code, the dependencies and the existing risks before taking on the maintenance.
What happens to the support hours I don't use in a month?
The specific plans, with their included hours and their policy on unused hours, are detailed on the maintenance page with pricing. Here I give you the general idea of the service; you get the full terms before signing anything.
Is there a minimum commitment period?
I don't work with forced lock-in. You can cancel the service with the notice agreed in the contract, with no penalty for ending it.
Does maintenance include content changes or only technical work?
The focus is technical: security, updates, performance and availability (or operating-system compatibility, for apps). Occasional content changes on websites can be included depending on the plan; I detail that on the maintenance plans page.
