Background
More than 10 years writing software in production
I've spent more than a decade building applications in production, with thousands of simultaneous users, in sectors as demanding as banking, retail and telecoms. That's where I learned what separates software that works in a demo from software that holds up in the real world: monitoring, resilience and technical decisions that don't come back to bite you a year later.
Architecture before code
My specialism is software architecture: designing systems with Clean Architecture, well-separated layers and justified dependencies, so that changing one part of the code doesn't force you to touch everything else. It isn't an aesthetic preference: it's what makes a project maintainable, scalable and possible to hand over to another team without it becoming a black box.
Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and native mobile development
On Android I work with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose: declarative interfaces, native performance and a codebase that's modern, testable and free of shortcuts. I apply the same discipline when the project is web or backend, with Next.js and TypeScript.
AI applied to development, with judgement
I use AI tools in the development process to move faster on repetitive tasks, but the architecture, the critical technical decisions and the final code review are always mine. AI speeds up the work; professional judgement isn't delegated.

Why Málaga
I work from Málaga and for Málaga and Coín, although remote work lets me collaborate with companies anywhere. Málaga has a growing fabric of small businesses, sole traders and startups that need the same level of technical rigour as a bank or a large retail chain, but without the structure or the budget of a big consultancy. That's where I fit: senior profile, direct contact, no intermediaries.
Why small businesses and individuals
After years building software for large organisations, I decided to put that same judgement at the service of those who normally don't have access to it: small businesses, sole traders and individuals with a real professional need, whether it's a corporate website, an online shop, an app or a personal website for their freelance work. No project is small when it's the one holding up someone's business or professional image.
